Today compared to August 26th (the day they were born)

The triplets are 3 weeks and 5 days old today, I wanted to give an update every day (or at least as much as possible) to share how there progress is going, so I am going to start with the difference from today and the day they were born and update from now on...

Jace Alan weighed 2lbs 12 oz and today weighed in at 3lbs 1oz, Jace was baby A and had to have a blood transfusion when he was only one day old, he had grade 2 bleeding on his brain that is dissolving and going away he has had 3 ultrasounds since he was born on his brain and we praise God that it is going away! His ventricles were slightly bigger in the last ultrasound so they followed up with another ultrasound on the 20th to make sure they weren't getting bigger and they were the same or a little smaller, again we praise God and give him ALL the glory for our answered prayers!!! We continue to pray that everything keeps going in the same direction and know that Jace is in His hands! He was on the ventilator for 4 hours after he was born and then moved to bubble c-pap, he was on that for a couple days then moved to the nasal cannula and then had a bad night and was moved back to the bubble c-pap, he was on that for like 5 days then now back on the nasal cannula and has been on that for the past week, hes sitting at 5.0 liters and around 38% of oxygen, our prayer is that his lungs will get stronger and he will gain weight which helps with everything else...I talked to one of his nurses last night and she had the boys this week and last week and the week before and she said she sees a huge improvement so that was encouraging...when your in there every day for most the day it doesn't seem like there is huge progress. They all had pic lines put in within the first couple days of being born to receive lipids and fat and extra nutrients, they are all now out and receiving all of there nutrients from my breast milk, for Jace they are adding 24 calories of fortifier and a multi vitamin they add to the milk, he is getting fed 28ml of food every 3 hours right now, hes tolerating his feeds probably the best out of all 3, going to the bathroom all on his own, and for the most part doing really good! Jace will cry every once in a while but usually its cause hes annoyed with something on him, unlike his brother if he has a wet diaper or a poopy one he doesn't care, lol (its going to be fun potty training these little ones all at the same time!)  We love him SO much!
Liam Bryce weighed 2lbs 15oz when he was born and today weighed in at 3lbs 4oz, he is baby B and shared a placenta with Jace, they are identical twins. They thought Liam was going to have to have a transfusion also but he never ended up needing one thank God! Liam was also on the ventilator for 4 hours and switched over to the bubble c-pap, he was on the bubble c-pap for the longest but once they switched him over to the nasal cannula he has only been at 2 liters of oxygen at 21-24% which is barely any help at all...he was taken of the nasal cannula for one whole day and did pretty good but because he is still so small and he was still having some times he was forgetting to breath it burns so much calories for them to try that hard they thought we might as well leave it on him for a little while to help him out so he doesn't burn those extra calories, he's been on the nasal cannula at 2.0 21-24% for almost a week now, once he gains enough weight I dont think it will be long till he gets it off... Liam is getting 29ml of food with only 22 calories of fortifier because he had a little harder time digesting his feeds the last couple of days, last night he did really good with no residuals so he will probably get bumped up to 24 calories of the fortifier today like his brother and sister. Liam had his first physical therapy appointment yesterday morning. A nurse comes in and plays with them for like 15-20 minutes to make sure there heads aren't getting used to a certain way so they don't get flat heads, she moves there arms, legs, and body around and stuff like that...Liam is doing good and making progress as well, we love to watch them grow! Liam is always quiet unless he wants something, then he WILL let you know! lol If he needs his diaper changed, if hes hungry, he screams!, lol We love him SO much too! =)
Stella Lynn weighed 2lbs 14oz and weighed in today at 3lbs 11oz, she's almost gained a whole pound in 3 weeks! The nurses say girls always do better in the NICU so its normal for her to be ahead of the boys...she was also on the ventilator for 4 hours and then switched to bubble c-pap and then to the nasal cannula within days at 2.0 liters at 21% which is room air so she only needed a little help breathing, within days they took her off and has been breathing on her own with no help for the past 2 weeks. All the babies had a little bit of jaundice but they put them on the lights for a day or two and haven't been under them for 2 weeks. She is also on 24 calories of fortifier and having multi vitamins added to the breast milk. On Saturday we got to practice breast feeding and she did really good! Yesterday they tried feeding her the bottle and she drank 9ml which is really good too! They don't learn there suck and swallow till about 34 weeks and there barely 33 weeks this thursday so they will just keep practicing with her so that by the time she really develops it she will be able to get the hang of it right away. She also did physical therapy yesterday with the nurse. The last couple of days they have been letting me dress her and put bows on her so it has been fun! Stella already has a mind of her own, she is feisty and pushes the nurses hands away if she doesn't want to do what she doesn't want to (oh great!) Its so funny to watch her she makes the funniest faces, we love our little girl SO much too! =)

We didnt know how we could have so much love for one baby let a lone 3! We love them all SO much it hurts! Our lives have forever been changed in a way I never could imagine or explain! If your a Mom or Dad of course you know what I am talking about! =)

James 1:17 "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."
